No Saarang day is complete without heading to the massive 8000-seater Open Air Theater after it’s all done for one wild night of sheer exhilaration. The Saarang professional shows have redefined the way Chennai listens to its music with an array of scintillating shows in the past.
This year’s line-up:
January 23rd: The legendary Carnatic Violinist, Professor VV Subrahmanyam, will grace the stage with a rare performance at the Classical Music Nite.
January 24th: The most talented dance troupes from all over the country battle it out at the most prestigious event at Saarang 2008, the Choreo Nite.
January 25th: The Light Music Group and Decibels finals feature the best bands at Saarang playing to a packed audience.
January 26th: Republic Day promises to be all the more special with the performance of Lucky Ali followed by Karthik at the Light Music Nite.
January 27th: Saarang 2008 comes to a close with the performances of Singapore based Firebrands and Delhi based Prestorika at the Rock Show.
