Kalaripayattu

Kalaripayattu, a lesser known foundation to the popular kung-fu and karate, originated almost 3000 years ago in south India. Developed and maintained under the curtains of secrecy and mystery, it developed to an iconic martial art form and laid down the combat codes for many South Indian Kings during the medieval times. It has sustained its purity under the watchful eyes of its masters who carried on this tradition in isolation.

Come Saarang and you will witness a glimpse of this oriental treasure trove as it is unfurled graciously through the rhythmic, and, of course, the mesmerizing movements and stunts performed by the masters of this sacred art.
