Light Music Group

For those with popular Indian musical tastes, the light music events never fail to entertain. They are divided into two categories: Light Music solo and Light Music group. The group event finals are held at OAT, attracting a huge crowd of 8000 every year.

The list of bands selected to perform in Light Music Group Prelims: (in no particular order)

Rules and Regulations:

Group Prelims

1. Each group will be allotted a time limit of 15 minutes (empty stage-toempty stage).
2. The group must consist of a minimum of 3 members.
3. Only a drum kit would be provided (all other instruments have to be brought by the groups themselves).
4. Substantial weightage will be given for any OWN COMPOSITIONS that the group performs.
5. Registration is compulsory for participation.
6. Online registrations will start from Jan 8 and will continue till Jan 18.
7. The groups are required to post a CD containing an Audio-Visual recording of them performing any ONE song.
   1. The CD must show all the group members clearly.
   2. Please include a text file containing details of the group members for easy identification on the day of the event.
   3. We will take the group to consist of only the members that are listed in the file and only they will be allowed to play in the event.
   4. The video must not be edited and in case the recording is found to be fake or manipulated then the group will be disqualified from the event.
   5. The CD must reach us on or before 18th Jan.
   6. A team will be considered registered only if they have registered online and we receive their CD, both on or before 18th Jan.

8. The teams will be shortlisted on the basis of the video that they send in.
9. A total of 20 teams will be shortlisted and be invited here to perform in the prelims.
10. The list of the selected teams will be put up online on 21st Jan.
11. They will also be informed through their e-mail id that they use to register themselves on or before 21st Jan.

Group finals:

1. Only the selected participants from the prelims will be allowed to perform in the final round.
2. Each of the teams will be allotted 20 mins.
3. The rest of the rules being the same as the prelims.
