Pot Pourri
Pot Pourri at Saarang is a traditional crowd puller. In Saarangs long gone, Pot Pourri prelims are known to have lasted upto 8 hours and finals upto 4 hours. Pot Pourri consists of three games and their variations -- Dumb Charades, Pictionary and Tinto-Rinto (20 Questions). In essence, its all about communicating with your team mates in ways other than, well, direct communication!
Rules & Format
- Teams of 3 only. Not 1. Not 2. Not more than 3.
- Common rules for these games apply.
- We do not allow 'sounds like' and 'splitting of words'. For example, you can not mime the verb 'carry' to get to Jim Carrey and you can not split the 'gold' out of Whoopi Goldberg's name. This holds for dumb charades and pictionary.
- The prelims will be plain dumb charades with movies or a written prelims (if there are too many teams to handle). Finals will be a mixed bag (pot pourri!) of the three games.
- Additional rules for tinto-rinto. Team members can ask 20 rapid fire questions (timed) and the answers have to be in 'yes', 'no', 'maybe', 'also', 'not important'. The time counts, not the number of questions. Also, every answer has be a neutrally said answer. 'YESSSSS' or 'yeeeeess' or any other emotions in your answers will be frowned upon.
