gTalk Status Message Contest
Ever had a quadruply meaning status message go unnoticed? Think your status messages are beyond anyone's level? Then come take the challenge.
Rules and Regulations
- Contest is open to everyone with a valid gmail address.
- Participants can start adding the bot email creativewriting[at]saarang.org to their chat clients.
- Participants will be judged based on how creative the status message is.
- All status messages are to be in less than or equal to 400 characters.
- No smileys allowed. :(
- The contest will run from 00.01 hours IST on 18th to 23.59 hours IST on 20th of January 2008.
- Results will be announced during the last day of Saarang.
- No swearing and abusive/derogatory messages allowed.
- Attractive prizes to be won.
- We guarantee your privacy.

One Act Play
This year we call for entries for an online playwriting contest, with entries being original one-act plays in English.
Rules and Regulations
- "This is an open topic, one-act play in English"
- The play has to be not more than 30 minutes in length.
- Entries can be by individuals or by teams of up to three. Multiple entries can be submitted, but not more than one will be eligible for a prize.
- Contest opens on 07th January and closes on 21st January.
- Results will be announced during the last day of Saarang.
Submission Format
- Entries must be in the form of a doc/pdf file with the title of the play on top and the author's name under it (this may be a pen name or your full name).
- Personal details must be mentioned in the email. Your full name, contact number and email address are compulsory. In case of a team submission, kindly give one contact number and one email address.
- The entries must be mailed to creativewriting[at]saarang.org. Please make sure that you receive an acknowledgment email in reply to your mail. If you do not receive this, your entries may not have reached us.
- In case of multiple submissions, please send each submission as a separate email.
- PS: Do not forget to attach the entry ;)
And to top it all off, we have the traditional on-spot version of the event.
