Folk Arts is aimed to promote traditional arts amongst the modern youth. Saarang gives an opportunity to the folk artists to showcase their talents, interact with professionals and to strengthen our cultural values. Teams are allowed to perform any folk dances, but not limited to,
Karagaattam, thappattam, thevarattam, kummiyattam, oyilaattam, poikkal kudirai, kuttiyaatam, kolkkali, duffmuttu, chenday, dolla nrityam, garagalu, guravayyalu, tappeta gullu.
Or any folk songs or any folk music within the time limit.

Rules:

Maximum of ten participants per team.
No restrictions on number of teams per college.
Time limit of 10 mins will be strictly imposed.
Only folk music/songs to be played. Cine music not permitted.
Theme based performances appreciated.
The performance will be in the open with a minimal PA system
The participants are asked to bring their own folk music instruments.
