Dramatics
Our Dramatics events aim at creating awareness about theatre and its various aspects among young enthusiastic students, and bringing together people who are interested in the performing arts on a common platform. Dramatics not only gives you an avenue to access theatre and appreciate it, but also a chance to take part in various productions both on and off stage. If you can handle anything from comedies to action to social dramas, Drams2006, welcomes you to the pinnacle of dramatics. Powerful expressions, realistic characterization, humorous satire, comedy and Shakespearean tragedy… are some of the elements that come across as the curtains are swept across the center stage. The events we have on offer will infuse you with energy, give you a platform to express your deepest desires and teach you a thing or two about street-theatre, spoofs, stage plays, et al. One can whet their appetites with some high quality theatre, what with troupes from as far as Delhi and Mumbai coming down for participation.
We have had the opportunity to work with many established directors, and we hope to continue working with established names to help us direct our energies positively towards the field. At the workshops we are organizing in association with prominent personalities from theatre and the film fraternity, we’re certain some of you will pick up the techniques of making a fine piece of art. All of you will appreciate one thing for sure- Shakespeare’s famous verse- All the world’s a stage…
