Decibels

If you’re Semi-Pro, then this is the place to be. After the prelims at Bindaas Park, the finalists get to perform before a packed OAT.

Rules:

• Open to all semi pro bands.
• Bands that take part in Powerchord will not be allowed to participate in Decibels.
• One person cannot play in more than one band.
• A minimum of 3 members in a band.
• No obscenities shall be tolerated on stage.
• The event is held in two stages:
  1. Prelims: Every shortlisted band is given 15 mins (plus 5 mins for setup).Top 5 bands shall be performing at the finals.
  2. Finals: Bands qualifying the prelims shall perform at the ‘Open Air Theatre’. Time allotted for the finals will be 25 minutes per band (including setup).
• Only shortlisted bands will be allowed to participate in Decibels.
• Shortlisting of bands would be done on the basis of the band’s recorded songs and its past performance. It is preferred that the bands send us a recorded song for shortlisting purposes. The decision of coords in shortlisting shall be final and binding and no cribs shall be entertained.
